Training Classes

The training dates are as follows:
January: NADSP Code of Ethics and Valued Roles (30 mins)
March: MUI Training (1.5 hours)
May: Health and Safety (1.5 hours)
July: Rights of Individuals (45 mins)
August: Positive Behavior Support (1.5 hours)
September: Components of Quality Care and the Ohio ISP (1 hour)
October: Empathy Training and Supporting People with Dual Diagnosis (45 mins)
December: Health and Welfare Alerts (30 mins)
Your managers will set up a time during these months for your house training. THIS IS MANDATED TRAINING. Some managers are offering a virtual option. Please contact your manager to see if this is an option they are providing. If you are unable to attend their meeting, please see below for additional classes:
First Aid and CPR-AED Courses (2 Hours Each)
The First Aid and CPR-AED classes generally last around 2 hours each, or 4 hours for both classes.
The current monthly schedule, which is subject to change, will generally be as follows:

Medication 1 Initial (Two 7 Hour Days)
Medication Classes are taught on a regular schedule at the office. You must be 18 years of age and have submitted proof of education to take this course.
November 11th and 12th 8:30a-4:30p

Medication 1 Updates (2 Hour Recertification)
Medication Updates are taught on a regular schedule at the office, and can be taken up to 6 months before your current certification ends. If you cannot make this course time, you can come the first two hours of Day 2 of Medication Day 2 (N/A).

Medication 2/Gtube Updates (1 Hour Recertification) and Full Class (4 hours)
Medication Updates are taught on a regular schedule at the office, and can be taken up to 6 months before your current certification ends.
Medication 2 class is required for Lincoln St staff, Managers, Floats, and P.E.A.C.E. staff. You MUST have the Medication 1 Certification before completing this training.

Aegis Initial (Two 4 Hour Days)
Aegis training is required for all Group Homes (ICF Sites), Floats, Managers, and P.E.A.C.E. staff.

Aegis Update (2 Hour Recertification)
Aegis training is required for all Group Homes (ICF Sites), Managers, and P.E.A.C.E. staff. Training must be completed annually.

Annual Emergency Preparedness Update

Annual Fire & Weather Training Document
The annual Emergency Preparedness (Fire & Weather) training is completed through AccelTrax. Once logged in, go to the "Employee Information" dropdown bar and select
"Testing," then choose "Start A New Test." Click on the test named “Annual Emergency Preparedness" (formerly Fire & Weather) and then click on “Start Test.” Before beginning
the test, you will want to download the reading materials. Simply click on the blue "View Documents for Test," which is located directly over the
first question. A separate window is going to open, with a link to the document "Fire and Weather Annual Training Handout.pdf." Once you
select that document, the PDF will open and you can review the reading material prior to taking the test. You can start and stop the test as needed.
To regain access to a test, while in AccelTrax go to the "Employee Information" dropdown bar and select "Testing," here you can choose to
"Finish an In Progress/Assigned Test." In order to pass this test, a minimum of 80% is required. After completing and passing the test, your
compliance date will automatically be updated. This annual training is mandated by the state, and if it is not completed you will be out of
compliance and unable to report work.

Annual Client Rights & MUI Update

While signed into AccelTrax, go to the "Employee Information" dropdown bar, select "Testing," and then choose "Start A New Test."
Click on the test named “Annual Rights & MUI” and then proceed to “Start Test.” Please be aware, that for the first 3 test questions
there will be "Associated Hyperlinks." Before answering these questions, you will need to click on the hyperlink, in order to open
a new tab with the necessary reading material. The remaining 10 test questions will not have any associated hyperlinks or documents.
You can start and stop the test as needed. To regain access to a test you have already begun, go back to the "Employee Information"
dropdown bar and select "Testing," this time you will choose to "Finish an In Progress/Assigned Test."
In order to pass this test, all questions must be answered correctly. If you don't pass the first time, you are able to keep taking new
tests until you pass. After completing and passing the test, your compliance date will automatically be updated by the system.
This annual training is mandated by the state, and if it is not completed you will be out of compliance and unable to report work.

While signed into AccelTrax, go to the "Employee Information" dropdown bar, select "Testing," and then choose "Start A New Test."
Click on the test named “Covid-19 training” and then proceed to “Start Test.” Please be aware, you must read the information in the "Associated Hyperlinks" and provided documents.
You can start and stop the test as needed. To regain access to a test you have already begun, go back to the "Employee Information"
dropdown bar and select "Testing," this time you will choose to "Finish an In Progress/Assigned Test."
